This month we launched a social media campaign, called #IAmWomankind with the aim to reach more women and invite them to volunteer with us.
Many of our wonderful existing volunteers helped us with this campaign, providing written and video testimonies. For example, we asked our volunteers what they have gained from being a Womankind Volunteer. One volunteer answer ‘I have gained community, perspective, fulfilment and so much communication skills. I am also slowly learning to trust my abilities more.’ while another replied ‘a better understanding of myself and the need to be an active listener more often. I’m more accepting of people’s choices without voicing an opinion. I appreciate the importance of setting boundaries.’
You can see these posts and videos on our Facebook and Instagram accounts.
In a few weeks we will be running a remote and in-person Volunteer Open Evening so if you or someone you know might be interested in volunteering, it would be great to see you there. More information below!
