We are currently recruiting for volunteers in the following areas:
We deliver group befriending training twice a year in the Spring and Autumn. You are welcome to apply for the group training now or you can register your interest in the role here .
We also offer successful applicants the option to train from home using a home study pack; this is available throughout the year. To be eligible for this you must have some relevant experience either in mental health, sexual violence, a support role or have basic counselling skills. If this is applicable to you please fill in the befriender application form and the equalities monitoring forms below.
Womankind Helpline offers confidential listening support to women on any issue, including depression, anxiety, domestic and sexual abuse.
If you are interested in becoming a Helpline Volunteer you are welcome to apply for the next training course which will run over four weekends during January and February 2019 – the training and the helpline are run from our offices in Central Bristol. Volunteers are required to volunteer on the helpline for one shift of three hours per week. For more information please see the Helpline Volunteer role description. If you are able to offer this commitment please fill in the Helpline Volunteer application form and the equalities monitoring forms below as soon as possible, but no later than the closing date of 30th November 2018. Alternatively you can register your interest for the future here and we will contact you when further training courses are planned.
