The Helpline Role

The Befriending Role

There are three volunteer roles at Womankind:
Befriending Volunteers

We deliver group befriending training twice a year in the Spring and Autumn.  You are welcome to apply for the group training now or you can register your interest in the role here . You can find out more here.

We also offer successful applicants the option to train from home using a home study pack; this is available throughout the year.  To be eligible for this you must have some relevant experience either in mental health, sexual violence, a support role or have basic counselling skills.  If this is applicable to you please fill in the befriender application form and the equalities monitoring forms below.

Helpline Volunteers

Womankind Helpline offers confidential listening support (via telephone and webchat) to women on any issue, including depression, anxiety, domestic and sexual abuse.

If you are interested in becoming a Helpline Volunteer you can register your interest at any time here and we will get in touch. You can find out more about the role here.

Administration Volunteers

We are not currently recruiting for this role, but if you are interested in becoming an Administration Volunteer you can register your interest here and we will contact you when a vacancy comes up.
