Digital Marketing

We are always looking for ways to reach more women. Can you assist us?
Training:

As this role is for women with some experience in marketing or digital design, this role does not involve specific training. When you start this role the Marketing and Communications Coordinator will provide you with a thorough induction into the charity, explaining Womankind’s brand voice, and the charity’s existing needs and marketing strategy. Together you will agree what your commitment will be, and when and how often you will volunteer.

While this role does not involve training, in return for your commitment we hope to assist you with your professional development by providing you with the agency to develop your skills and portfolio, and to gain new knowledge and approaches for as long as you volunteer for us. This is also an opportunity to work within an organisation with 30 years of experience supporting women’s mental health and so this role would be great for someone interested in gaining experience in women’s mental health or the charity sector.

The Role:

You will be providing valuable marketing support to our small team, helping us communicate our message as powerfully and widely as possible. This might include: running online fundraising; volunteer recruitment and awareness-raising campaigns; consulting on our strategy; researching and enacting appropriate and sensitive approaches to target different audiences; researching relevant articles (on topics such as women’s rights and mental health) to share on our site and social media, updating our social media and/or website and building our online presence.

You:

You will be passionate about the work of Womankind, committed to our values, and enthusiastic about helping us to deliver our marketing strategy. You will have experience studying or working in a digital marketing role or similar and you will have some experience creating digital adverts or social media posts. You will also be competent and creative in your field, have good written and verbal communication skills, and be reliable and organised.

This role can be undertaken in our offices or remotely. We require a minimum commitment of 3 hours per week.

We welcome volunteers with personal experience of mental health and other relevant issues. However, volunteering for Womankind means you may sometimes be exposed to difficult and sensitive topics. Therefore, we ask that you consider whether you feel emotionally robust and resilient enough to take on this role and discuss this with us if you are invited to interview.
