Celebrate International Women’s Day with a free event hosted by Bristol Women’s Voice. The event takes place at City Hall between 10.30am and 4pm on Saturday 5th March. The theme of this year’s event is ‘Break the Bias’ and all are welcome.

There are more than 25 fun, inspiring and informative activities and workshops to make up a day designed to celebrate women’s achievements, support women to challenge discrimination, and provide an opportunity to make their views and voices heard.

Sessions include:

  • a podcast workshop from FEM FM
  • a self-defence class from Sister Courage
  • a therapeutic yoga class for sexual violence survivors from SARSAS
  • and a panel on the Mayoral Referendum in partnership with Bristol Ideas.

Womankind will also be at the event leading a practical and trauma informed workshop, ‘Supporting Women: A Feminist Approach’. We will also have a stall so please come and say hello, ask us any questions, or learn about our volunteering opportunities.

You can find out more on the Bristol Women’s Voice website. This is an unticketed event but attendees are encouraged to register here.
