Confidentiality Policy Information for Womankind Clients
Womankind aims to create a safe and secure environment and will maintain confidentiality for all clients who use the service. Clients will be made aware that information will be given to other members of staff on a 'need to know' basis only and the client will be informed of such disclosure and the reasons for it before the disclosure takes place.
No information held within the agency about the client will be given to any other person or agency without consent from the client. This includes information about whether or not the client uses the service.
Confidentiality may be breached only under the following circumstances:
- Where there is a risk of serious harm to the client by another party.
- Where there is risk of serious harm by the client to another party or to themselves.
- Where there is risk of serious harm to a minor.
- Where it is in the client's interest to do so but where it is not possible to obtain the client's consent. Please note that if it is not possible to obtain consent, Womankind will endeavour to inform the client of any action taken.
